Department of Automobiles Engineering

The Automobile Engineering Department was started in the year 2001 with an intake of 30 students per year.

The Department has fully equipped laboratories such as

Automotive Engine Components Lab
Automotive Chassis Components Lab
Automotive Pollution & Control Lab
Vehicle Maintenance Lab

Latest equipments such as Computerised Engine Analyser, Computerised Wheel Alignment, Computerised Auto Analyser, FIP Micro Test bench are special features of these of these Laboratories.

A fully equipped Automobile workshop was constructed and all the college buses (14 Nos) are maintained & Serviced (including Fitness Certificate works) here.

The department has well qualified & experienced faculty members.

Two of the faculty members have registered for PhD Programme at Anna University; Chennai.

The Department has SAE Collegiate Club & all the students & faculties are members of SAE India Chennai.

Industrial Visits to various Automobile factories at Chennai and elsewhere are arranged.

The In-plant training for the students during vacation are arranged at various industries such as ELGI Equipments Ltd etc.
